As mothers, we were navigating our children’s health challenges with eczema and respiratory sensitivities, alongside our own experiences with fertility.
Hi! We’re Sandra and Dani - two sisters, mothers and the founders of The Essential Co.
Our journey began from a deeply personal place. As new mothers, we were navigating our children’s experiences with eczema and respiratory sensitivities, alongside our own experiences with fertility. These experiences encouraged us to take a closer look at the everyday products we were using in our homes and to question whether there were gentler, more natural ways to care for our families.
A SHIFT TOWARDS SIMPLER LIVING
What began as a quiet shift towards simpler living gradually became a way of life.
We started slowly removing toxins from our environment and choosing more intentional, natural alternatives for our home, cleaning and personal care routines. As we made these changes, we began to notice a meaningful difference in our family’s overall wellbeing.
The more we learned, the more we wanted to understand. We continued exploring a more natural and holistic approach to everyday living, becoming increasingly mindful of the products we brought into our homes and the rituals we created for our families.

Friends and family began reaching out, asking about the gentle, considered products we had come to rely on in our own homes. What began as something deeply personal to our own families slowly grew into something we felt called to share with others.
